Our goal is to provide a fun and welcoming DIY Lounge for kids and adults, fostering creativity and community connection in Solvang, CA.

Who We Are
Christine Pickavet
Owner
Creativity has been a part of Christine's life since she was a little girl. She spent countless hours crafting with her mom and woodworking with her dad. Some of her favorite childhood memories were made around paint, glue, and sawdust. Now as a mom of three, she loves sharing that same joy with her own kids. Her love of art combined with a Bachelors Degree in Child Development, experience as a substitute teacher at Solvang Elementary, and an entreprenurial spirit Christine hopes to provide a welcoming space where people of all ages can slow down, get creative, and express themselves through their art! When she's not in the studio you can find Christine cheering on her kids at their sporting events, dreaming up new projects... or singing karaoke around town! Welcome to your local arts and crafts lounge, we can't wait to see what you create.
Ella Lindenthaler
Artist and Associate
Ella's passion for art began when she started drawing in preschool leading her to be in AP art for all four years of high school. When she moved to Solvang, she was looking for an art job, and was actually approached by the original creators of Craft and Create! We are beyond blessed to have Ella on our team. She brings knowledge, warmth, and fun to the shop. Ella says "I am a multimedia artist and I'm always down for new original craft ideas." Come on in and create with Ella!
